HOW CAN I FIX A CLEAN LINEN SHIRT THAT END UP IN THE TUMBLE DRYER, NOW IS SO WRINKLED, HARD AND DRY

Well, sometimes accidents will happen. This time somehow this linen shirt end up in the tumble dryer, ( not me ). I never tumble-dry shirts completely in the dryer. I usually let them go for 5 minutes, remove them straightaway, give them a good shake, hang it and air dry them. But that was not what happened to this one. There is no time to wash it again and the person really needs the shirt, so what to do?

I remember, that my grandmother had one method if little accidents like this one happened.

STEP 1 - Spray the shirt with clean water, on the front, back and sleeves.

STEP 2 - Fold it nicely, make a little roll and put it aside for a few minutes ( like the same time it takes to iron another shirt, let's say?)

STEP 3 - If the linen shirt is coloured, iron all the shirt on the inside so that in the long run it does not create a shine into the fabric

NOTE - Look at the label and see what setting for the iron you have to choose.

NOTE - The collar, you do not iron on the side of the label you do it on the other side

STEP 4 - I find this little trick very useful when encountering wrinkled clothes. As I press the shirt, I stretch the fabric with my left hand and hold the iron with my right hand, and press (if it makes any sense to you) because the fabric is damp it removes the wrinkles much more easily.

NOTE - On coloured shirts, as a rule, I avoid making creases on the sleeves, the colour tends to fade, so in time, the shirt will end up having a discoloured line in the middle of the sleeve.

NOT BAD IF I CAN SAY SO
