HOW TO REMOVE STAIN FROM A VERY PRECIOUS PILLOWCASE

Every time a see this pillowcase a tend to smile, it brings back amazing memories. It is a very special one because it has a secret pocket inside. Many many years ago the little pocket was used as a secret place to put a child fallen tooth for the Tooth Fairy to collect it.

This little pillowcase is clean but because has been stored away for safekeeping in a drawer for many years, some stains have appeared.

Because it is so precious and delicate, it can not be washed in the washing machine, it has to be done by hand.

FYI - The detergents I'm using are different from the UK, so I do not know how well they will work.

What will I need - - A bowl - Hand wash detergent - A very hot Suny day

STEP 1 - Into a bowl, I add a bit of water and detergent and dissolve it well.

STEP 2 - I fully immerse the pillowcase a into the water.

My mum always used this bar of soap to remove stains on delicates.

NOTE: In order to last longer and be easier to handle she always said to cut a bit from the big one.

STEP 3 - I give a gentle scrub, then I make sure the all the pillowcase in under the water and then I let the sun do his job. I will keep going back to it every so often to make sure the pillowcase is always under the water.

STEP 4 - Once the stain was gone, carefully rinsed it with clean tepid water and put it to dry on a flat surface, indoors.

NOTE: In order to remove the excess of water use a towel method for it, do not wring with a towel you can damage the delicate fabric.

Good as new and ready to be used once again.
